We are opening a new discussion at 4:00 PM Eastern Time. This forum will be called “”Support””. We invite all users who wish to post messages ofsupport, kindness and compassion for each other and for the world, and to converse with each other in a positive, supportive environment. It appears that the “”General”” board is a place where many thoughts are coming together, sometimes in a way that is unhealthy for some of our users.
This new forum is intended as a place where divisive, combative and critical conversation will be nonexistent. The “”General”” board will continue to function as it currently does, without censorship. If users decide not to respect the wishes of Management and the other users of this site, they will be ruining an effort that is merely designed to give a home to the people that have a need to communicate in a wholly positive environment. This is a wonderful, vibrant community where many of us care deeply about each other. We are so proud of that and wish for it to continue.
Any attempt to corrupt this place should be met with absolutely noresistance. You will all be on the honor system, expected to act with the spirit this forum is being built upon. Anyone who wishes to communicate in other than a positive, constructive manner still have ample space to be heard on this site.
Of course we cannot guarantee that our wishes will be fully respected. For that reason, we would hope that any user who deviates and posts somethingoutside the spirit of the forum will be ignored. Please try not to respond(directly or indirectly) to anyone who is looking to act in a negative manner.
We will be criticized for attempting to create an “”Ivory Tower.”” No argument here. Sometimes people need one.
