New York, NY, February X, 2002 —MTV: Music Television announced today that it will present “Señor Moby’s House of Music,� featuring an eclectic mix of videos singled-out by the multi-platinum recording artist. This new series premieres on MTV on Saturday, February 23 at 12:00 AM (ET/PT). “Señor Moby’s House of Music� will air regularly on MTV throughout the spring.
“The nice people at MTV/MTV2 have given me my own simple 30 minute show wherein I get to play music videos of my choosing. Which is great, right? I’ll be playing new and old videos and having access to MTV’s archives is pretty remarkable. The show is called ‘Señor Moby’s House of Music’, which should convince everyone that I should never be allowed to name things,â€? said Moby.
The show is pure Moby. While shooting himself with his digital video camera, Moby picks, plays, and provides background on new videos from emerging and established but underexposed artists that he believes deserve an audience. Through “Señor Moby’s House of Music,â€? viewers will be introduced to the best music from the not so distant future. Moby’s top picks for the first program include Goldfrapp: “Pilots;â€? Gorillaz: “”19-2000;”” Liquid, Liquid: “Cavern”” and U.N.K.L.E.: “”Rabbit in Your Headlights.””
