Moby will perform for a private audience at An Evening for Cambodian Children’s Fund which will benefit the nonprofit organization that helps provide education, nourishment, housing and healthcare to impoverished children and families living in the Steung Meanchey waste-yard of Phnom Penh, Cambodia—one of the most toxic environments in the world. The charity event will take place at the new Gansevoort Park Avenue Hotel in New York City on March 28th, 2011.
Moby will be joined by special musical guest, Laura Dawn, who is also the National Creative Director for the nonprofit, MoveOn.Org. The evening’s host committee includes Cambodian Children’s Fund (CCF) founder Scott Neeson and supporters Heather Graham, Hugh Jackman & Deborra-Lee Furness, Ethan & Ryan Hawke, Laura Dawn & Daron Murphy, Taylor Dayne, Griffin Dunne & Anna Bingemann, Celeste Fierro, Chris Jacobs, Michelle Jonas, Bill & Shannon Joy, Carrie Malcom, Nicole Miller, Yaniv Raz, Salman Rushdie, Warren Share and Gary Strumeyer.
All funds raised at the charity event will directly benefit CCF and their efforts to help the impoverished children living in threatening conditions by providing them with a chance at a better life through intervention and education.
General admission tickets begin at $300 and include a live performance by Moby, catering by Asselina, open bar and a live auction of one of a kind experiences. The VIP Admission at $600, will include all of the aforementioned as well as a reception with the host committee, private VIP area access, and gift bags. Platinum packages can be purchased for $6,000 and will include ten VIP tickets, plus name recognition in event materials.
Doors open at 6:30pm for VIP-ticketholders and 7:30pm for general admission. Tickets are available through the event website.
