News / Moby Does It All In L.A.

The picturesque natural setting of the Greek Theater provided a spectacular backdrop for an absolutely brilliant performance. Moby blazed though an energy-packed set balancing old with new and adding surprises along the way.

Backup singer Diane Charlemagne helped Moby provide some of the wonderful moments, including a stirring acoustic rendition of “”Everytime You Touch Me”” and a spicy tete-a-tete between our favorite little idiot and the cheeky diva preceding “”Honey””.

Monday night, Moby moved to a more intimate setting and provided an up close and personal performance for 750 fans at El Rey Theater.

Moby fans know that covers have been a part of his performances for some time. Highlights over the weekend included his first-ever performance of Neil Young’s “”Helpless”” at The Greek and great renditions of The Doors’ “”The End,”” Johnny Cash’s “”Ring Of Fire,”” and the surf classic, “”Pipeline”” at El Rey.

As if that wasn’t enough, Moby also took ti_e out to film a video over two days with Gwen Stefani for “”South Side”” and answered fans’ questions at Virgin Sunset on Monday afternoon.
