you’d think it would be simple to put some simple video up on my internet machine blog. but no, it isn’t. or, rather, it isn’t simple for me. i was trying to put up a very rough sitting-in-front-of-the-computer version of ‘walk with me’ and i couldn’t. i blame myself.
i just got back to nyc and it’s 7 degrees (that’s -16 centigrade) and that means it’s cold and people are whimpering on the street with sadness and cold fueled ennui. but i’m happy to be back in nyc, even if it was sunny and cloudless in l.a today. after being away from nyc for a while i’ve realized that the best thing about nyc is that you can walk everywhere. being in l.a without a car or drivers license was interesting, but kind of frustrating. it’s nice to be a mobile pedestrian again.
i’m trying to figure out which songs to work on acoustically/orchestrally. some new ones. some old ones. i did a cover of ‘will the circle be unbroken’ with my friend melody that i really like, so maybe we’ll work on that. it’s such a sad song (probably why i like it, as i tend to like sad songs a bit too much).
tomorrow when i’m in my studio and the sun is up (in theory) i’ll send some pictures of me working in the studio (maybe that is unbelievably tedious, i don’t know). i haven’t shaved in a while so i look like a homeless alcoholic, that’s my caveat. more tomorrow.
