a lot of new people have joined the boards over the last few days. i want to extend a hearty welcome to everyone, although i wish that we could’ve met in better circumstances.
these boards are, in my opinion, a very special place. the majority of people who spend time here are smart and wonderful people, and even the people who are at times contentious and nasty tend to be smart and wonderful once you get to know them…
i’m really glad that you’re here, and i hope that whatever time that you choose to spend here is satisfying and enriching, somehow.
and, apart from being smart and wonderful, most of the board members here have the best user-names of any site on the internet…
