we just finished our 3 night run at the fonda. and it was really really fun but now i’m really really tired. i was able to walk to the venue every day, which was nice, as i’m provincial.
someone had asked me to take pictures as i walked, so: here are the pictures:
what i notice in looking at the pictures is just how random and odd and interesting l.a is as a city. i mean, the walk isn’t long, only about 1 1/2 miles. but in those 1 1/2 miles it’s as if i’m walking from the country, through the suburbs, to some very odd urban environment.
i don’t know of anywhere else in the world that has so many weird urban environments existing within one actual meta-environment. and if you were able to come to one of the shows: thank you. i hope you had as good a time as we did.
