Journal / Waiting Fun

well, i don’t know about you, but i had a really nice 4th of july.
we were understaffed at teany, so i ended up waiting tables.
it was fun. surprisingly fun. you take peoples orders and make nice conversation with them, then you bring them things that they enjoy and keep watch over them to make sure that they’re happy and taken care of. i think that in my free time i might wait tables at teany more often. i really enjoyed it. and we were quite slow, cos it’s the 4th of july and almost everyone was at the fireworks or had left the city.

so i was able to beat kelly at chinese checkers in between waiting tables. i wasn’t allowed to use the credit card machine, though. that’s toocomplicated for a simpleton like me. they just let me do the simple tasks. simple tasks for a simple ton (aka-me).
really. have you ever waited tables in a nice place? i had been a dishwasher before, at the macy’s restaurant in the stamford town center. that sucked. it really sucked. it gave me panic attacks it sucked so much. but waiting tables in a nice place doesn’t seem like it would be so bad.what do i know? i’m a dilletante.

and now my neighbors are having sex on their roof (post july 4th cheap domestic beer fueled sex, i’m guessing. the best kind. nothing says sexy like pabst blue ribbon in a plastic cup. you think i’m kidding? au contraire.)
ok, goodnight.
