more american soldiers have died in iraq since the war ‘ended’ than while the war was being fought.
i guess someone should tell the bush administration that wars aren’t usually considered ‘over’ until soldiers stop dying in combat.
people were anticipating that iraq would be like vietnam. it’s actually, and tragically, becoming more like the soviet war against afghanistan, with demoralized troops being killed by an enemy that they can’t see or fight.
