just reading the news…
bush says that he would’ve stopped the al-qaeda attacks had he been aware of them beforehand.
but there was a cia report saying that terrorists would try to hijack planes.
and another report hypothesizing that they would try to use planes as missiles by flying them into buildings.
now there’s a report saying that the cia had previously identified two of the al-qaeda september 11th terrorists as osama bin laden was trying to enroll into flight school.
so if no one in the bush administration was aware of what was going on i guess the big question is ‘why not’? sorry if this sounds overly negative, but it seems that the bush administration is either guilty of ineptitude or something a lot worse and more nefarious.
personally i have no idea, but the facts are profoundly upsetting.
i wonder what the truth is.
