i don’t want to indulge in schadenfreude(‘shameful joy’, i believe…), but tom delay was indicted today by a texas grand jury and forced to stand down as republican leader of the house of representatives.
this will sound distasteful, i’m sure, but woo-hooo!!
tom delay represents everything that’s wrong with the republican party in the 21st century.
he’s crooked, dishonest, disingenuous, arrogant, and contemptuous of democracy and free speech.
in a perfect world he’d be tarred and feathered and run out of town.
but in the meantime i guess that a grand-jury indictment will have to do…
i wonder how many other indicted republicans will be required to make america realize that the republican party is a cess-pool filled with crooked, lying, greedy, criminals.
