it’s my birthday.
and it’s the 3rd anniversary of the destruction of the twin towers.
i know that a lot of people(and a lot of new yorkers, understandably)want to reclaim september 11th as a normal day.
but it’s not a normal day, and we do have to remember that on this day 3 years ago 3,000 innocent civilians were killed.
and it’s my belief that we have to remember them and honor their memory and mourn the fact that they are no longer here to eat breakfast with their children and fall alseep next to their husbands and wives.
so, it’s my birthday, and i might even celebrate my birthday for the first time in 3 years, but i’m also going to spend some time probably crying and remembering the 3,000 innocent people who were murdered 3 years ago.
the world can be very heartbreaking.
