flying and more flying.
it’s 7:40 a.m and we’re about 2 hours away from los angeles and i haven’t slept yet and my eyes feel like grapes made out of sand and gravel.
but there are geckos as part of the print on the curtains in the airplane.
and everyone likes geckos. they eat roaches, apparently.
or is that an urban myth?
you go to the gecko store and buy a little gecko and they live in your house and eat roaches?
i saw my first gecko in hawaii years ago.
needless to say it was little and cute.
and my tired little brain is on the verge of making no sense.
i’m thinking that my hotel room in l.a will be a gigantic frying pan. i will just lie down in the frying pan and roll around. and maybe listen to some music.
not a hot frying pan. just a big, flat, metal bed.
the thought of lying in a horizontal position just seems so attractive right now. mmmm…horizontal.
and what about airplanes makes you sweat weirdly?
it’s not particularly hot, but it feels disgusting.
too much cabin pressure? i dunno, but it’s gross.
when all of this touring ends (in august, as presently planned) i hope to stay home for a while. i’m not complaining about my life.
it’s just that an extended period without airports and airplanes seems really attractive right now.
and august is only…five months away.
and my battery is dying. computer battery, i wasn’t being metaphorical.
my metaphoric battery is kind of sputtering along, though.
