going up to byron bay for ‘splendor’ now.
i checked the yahoo weather and it looks as if the weather might be nice this weekend.
i’ve never been to byron bay, but i hear it’s amazing and i wish that i had more time to spend there although maybe it’s not amazing and maybe it’s a blighted industrial wasteland and i’ve been lied to by my friends and the internet and it’s possible, no?
i still work under the assumption that it’s an amazing place.
last night at the mercury lounge in melbourne was, well, interesting?
the show ended up being really fun, and certainly
one of the smallest shows of the tour(strange contrast, from 75,000 people at versailles to 750 people at the mercury lounge…).
i hope that the people in attendance weren’t put off by our learning how to play ‘shook me all night long’ while on stage and then playing it twice.
i mean, it’s australia, right?
i guess we could’ve learned to play it before we performed, and i guess that we didn’t have to play it twice, and i guess that we didn’t need to stop 1/2 way through to ask the audience if anyone knew the lyrics to the 2nd verse, but apart from these minor distractions i believe that we represented the very height of show-biz professionalism.
