ah, the dust is settling, although we still don’t know the outcome of the senate races in virginia and montana(although it looks encouraging for the dems).
so the democrats now have a majority:
a-in the house of representatives
b-in the governors mansions
c-in local legislatures
d-quite possibly in the senate.
good work everybody.
it’s especially impressive because the republicans outspent the democrats by over $100,000,000.00.
and the republicans were up to their old dirty tricks(voter suppression, faulty technology in democratic districts, etc).
so this is a real victory.
it’s not going to be an easy ride for the democrats, but personally i find it incredibly encouraging that america seems to be freeing itself from the stranglehold of right-wing republican ineptitude and corruption.
again, thanks everybody for voting and making the phone calls and donations.
