thanks for coming to the powerhouse arena gristle book release party last night. in hindsight i apologize for not talking more, as i realized afterwards that people might have actually come the event hoping that miyun and i and the other contributors would talk about the book. i guess we thought that people just wanted to drink the free wine and be social. so, sorry for not talking more (i’m usually criticized for not keeping my mouth shut, so it’s odd to be criticized for not talking).
tonight we’re going to be doing a talk/signing at busboys and poets in d.c, the 14th avenue (or 14th street?) location.
oh, and as i was walking home last night over the manhattan bridge i took a couple of pictures of nyc. new york can be really photogenic at times. which is arguably the most self-evident thing i’ve ever written. here are a couple of nyc pictures taken from the bridge last night:
