why do so many of the people that they capture from al qaeda look like extras from ‘bill and teds excellent adventure’? they don’t look like terrorists, they look like slightly bewildered college students.
which makes it all the more terrifying, in a way.
i’m at the airport in tokyo getting ready for the long flight home.
performing in japan has been wonderful. now i fully understand why musicians love to come to japan. the level of enthusiasm that you get from a japanese audience is really special. so, thanks everybody.
ok, they just announced that the flight is boarding, so i should probably go to the gate and enjoy the lovely, long lines that have become de riguer for any airport experience.
well, at least i have 14 hours of sitting to look forward to.

i’m leaving on saturday afternoon at 4:20 p.m and in theory i’ll be arriving at 4:00 p.m on saturday afternoon at jfk.
