i have come to the conclusion that going out and being social with your musical heroes is bad for your health.
i went out last night with hooky and bernard from new order, mick jones from the clash, tony james from generation x, ian macculoch from echo and the bunnymen, alex from blur, and the hives. and now i feel, to quote withnail & i again, ‘like a pig shat in my head’.
if i hear the words ‘tequila gimlet’ one more time i think i’m going to be sick.
if you had told me when i was 16 that i would ever even meet one of the aforementioned people, let alone drink with them, let alone drink with all of them in one small room, i would never in a million years have believed you.
it was fun. now i pay the price.
and now i bathe.
thank goodness for green tea and strong water pressure.
