Journal / Teany At One

teany is 1 year old today.
happy birthday teany.
i’m such a proud parent.
we had a little slow-dance party last night at teany to celebrate. we pulled the front-gate down a bit and drank rasbelinni’s (champagne and raspberry puree) and slow danced to romantic slow-dance music.
i probably have the largest collection of romantic slow-dance music of anyone that you’ll ever know (sorry if i’m bragging, but it’s true).
the one area in which i’m lacking is romantic power ballads from heavy metal bands in the 80’s. but i have r&b slow jams covered pretty well.
my favorites would be:
‘oh girl’ by the chi-lites
‘if you don’t know me by know’ by harold melvin and the blue notes
‘float on’ by the people who sang ‘float on’
‘first time ever i saw your face’ by roberta flack.
and so on.

happy birthday teany. it is my pride and joy and i love it very much.
and thanks to kelly for doing all of the work so that i can just show up and bask in the glory…
99% of the good things in teany are kelly’s doing. my only contributions are the lights in the trees out front and the little drawings on the mugs that we sell. kelly did everything else, so the credit goes to her.
one more time, happy birthday teany.
thanks,moby
