on friday evening i’m going to darien to speak at the dca(darien community association)house.
and by ‘house’ i mean ‘big gigantic mansion on the top of a hill’.
i’m actually really looking forward to this.
my stepfather and my aunts and uncles will be attending(both of my aunts actually learned how to play bridge at the dca house…)and i’m hoping that i’ll even get to see some of the people with whom i went to high school. i wasn’t able to go to my high school reunion this last summer, as i was in poland playing a concert.
growing up in darien(which is an incredibly wealthy town)was very strange for me(in part because i was incredibly poor), and which is one of the reasons that i’m looking forward to speaking at the dca house.
so, if you’re coming to the dca house on friday, i’ll see you there.
