i hope that george bush and friends have a good time in prague.
prague is a beautiful city.
my recommendation for george would be for him to walk around the castle and perhaps reflect upon it’s symbolic and/or metaphoric use in kafka’s ‘the castle’.
and then maybe he could stroll past the little houses where the metaphysicians and the alchemists used to live.
and then a nice stroll over the bridge with the statues of philosophers and alchemists.
it’s an interesting juxtaposition, kafkas ‘castle’ and the alchemists. well, interesting for me.
maybe george could spend a little bit of time in europe just hanging out and perhaps in the process get a better idea of why europeans have so much antipathy towards him and his administration.
so, have fun in prague, george. read a few newspapers. talk to a few people on the street. go for a train ride. walk around.
can you imagine what the bush administration would be like without the presence of colin powell?
to quote an old hardcore band, ‘shudder to think.’
