Journal / Senator Kerry

i wonder when senator kerry’s going to pick his running mate?
the factors seem to be:
1-region. will he be from the south? or florida? or the midwest?
or the west?
2-background. will he have a background in politics or the military? seems like military might be a good idea, as bush is solely running on his ‘war president’ nonsense, and a vp nom. with a military background could go out and draw light to the fact that bush and his administration have royally screwed up with their military misadventures…
3-familiarity. can’t move past the fact that people are more inclined to favorably perceive someone with whom they’re already familiar.

can you see that i have a prediction?
we’ll see what happens, but i have my prediction, and it involves the south and the military and familiarity.
i’m probably wrong, but i have my prediction, especially as bill richardson has removed himself from the race… bush is doomed. karl rove can spin things all he wants, but bush is doomed.

Journal / Senator Kerry

i just got back from a fundraiser for senator kerry, and i have to say that hearing senator kerry speak is very impressive, especially when contrasted with gw’s press conference last night.
senator kerry is bright and principled and experienced and honest, whereas gw just seems vague and confused and tautological. as dismayed as i happen to be that gw is our current president, i’m thrilled that someone as bright and principled as john kerry will be our next president.

Journal / Senator Kerry

so now senator kerry is the democratic nominee.
that’s great.
as many of you know, i’ve been supporting senator kerry since last summer. my reasons for supporting senator kerry and his campaign are that i believe him to be intelligent, experienced, principled, and the most qualified man to be our next president.
so congratulations again to senator kerry and his incredible family and staff.
now comes the daunting task of fighting the well-funded and unscrupulous bush reelection machine…
