a war, and some subsidies, and some tax-breaks for the rich.
in other words: substitute venezuelan style populism and politics for actual policy. i wonder if george bush senior will call his son and say, ‘son, your economic policies are basically what i called “”voodoo economics”” in the 80’s. what i meant by “”voodoo economics”” was a description of economic policy that might have a populist quality but in the end causes long term harm to the economic well-being of the people and the nation.’
or maybe i’m just projecting.
but george bush sr. did give up his membership in the nra.
so maybe he does have a conscience.
i dunno.
we live in screwy times.
maybe some day we’ll have some sensible world leaders who are not atavistic and beholden to weird special interests.
