you know, for some reason a lot of people seem to feel compelled to make up stories about me. and while i’m flattered by this, i’m a bit concerned that other people might actually believe some of these stories. just for your information, if you hear a story about me that seems out of character, then it’s probably not true.
here’s a funny example: a friend of mine called me up and said, ‘oh, your girlfriend is in los angeles and she’s staying with my boyfriend for a few days’ to which i replied, ‘um, i don’t have a girlfriend’ to which my friend replied ‘sarah? you don’t have a girlfriend named sarah?’ to which i replied, ‘no.
to be honest with you i only have one friend named sarah and she’s married to a good friend of mine and there both at home with their new baby.
so, rumours get started, stories get told, and they’re untrue almost 99% of the time. i just wanted to clear that up. so if someone says something about me: ‘moby runs a drug cartel’, ‘moby slept with my entire family’, ‘moby’s actually working undercover for the tobacoo companies’, etc, please realize that you are not being told the truth.
