we’re flying from paris to lisbon now.
having flown from turin to paris earlier.
i’m not complaining, but excessive travel really does take some of the thrill out of it.
and we just flew over some wind turbines.
and i could see the fan blades moving.
question #1: how big would fan blades have to be that i could see them moving from 35,000 feet? pretty big, huh.
question #2: why isn’t more energy (no pun intended) put into developing sustainable and non-polluting sources of energy? future generations are going to be utterly dismayed at our stupidity. ‘you mean you relied on dangerous and polluting things like oil and uranium that you had to take out of the earth when you had an abundance of free energy in the form of wind and sun?’
the next time it’s hot or windy just look around and see how many solar panels or wind turbines you see…thanks

mr. bush and mr. cheney.
the next time you hear about the western world being involved with disastrous regimes just because they have oil stop to think of the jobs that mr. bush and mr. cheney had before they became the installed leaders of the u.s.
ok, i’ll stop complaining.
but one last thing about bush…how do you think the loved ones of the american soldiers who will die in the next few weeks in iraq will feel in retrospect about mr. bush saying ‘bring it on’ to the iraqi militants?
i guess it’s easy for mr. bush to provoke militants and invite warfare when he won’t actually be the one in harms way. but i wonder how the loved ones of the people who will be in harms way might feel?
if i had a son or daughter fighting in iraq i would feel sick to the core of my being by george bush being so cavalier in provoking people who might take it upon themselves to kill my offspring.
