one of the ways that i’ve been keeping entertained during the down-time of touring(i.e-20 hour long bus rides, etc)has been to reacquaint myself with ren & stimpy.
which leads me to a question: when was john kricfalusi forced out of the ren&stimpy empire?
cos it’s clear that the quality dropped off markedly after he(and a lot of the other spumco people, i’ve heard)were forced out.
the early ren&stimpy’s are without a doubt some of the funniest, oddest, and most unique cartoons ever made.
and wasn’t john k. asked by…adult swim(?) to make more ren&stimpy’s?
forgive my ignorance, but whatever became of that?

p.s-we also just watched chris rock’s most recent hbo special. call me crazy, but i’d vote for him for president. his combination of prurient toilet humor and spot-on social commentary is amazing.
