simple question:
how much money has been spent on afghanistan and iraq and how much hasn’t been spent here in america?
funding for schools and parks and police and firefighting and etc are all being slashed, but we’re spending billions and billions of dollars in afghanistan and iraq while the bush administration is racking up the biggest deficit in the history of the united states.
has anyone visited a police station in new york recently?
they’re old and badly in need of repair and renovation.
public schools are in need of repair and renovation.
fire-houses are being closed due to lack of funds.
and yet we’re giving tax breaks to the wealthiest americans and spending hundreds of billions of dollars in iraq and afghanistan.
it just pisses me off, to see our quality of life erode while lucrative oil contracts and tax breaks are secured for bushes cronies. and why isn’t anyone talking about the billions of dollars that haliburton are making in iraq?
who was haliburton’s ceo? dick cheney.
and how many companies were allowed to bid on the contracts in iraq? one. that one company being haliburton, who stand to make tens of billions of dollars from contracts in iraq while basic social services in the u.s are compromised daily.
ugh.
we need a regime change in america.
