i was just reading that the elected shi’ite officials in iraq want to enshrine islam in the iraqi constitution.
personally this doesn’t bother me, as i respect islam and i respect the iraqi’s collective will to govern themselves however they see fit.
but i wonder how the people(conservatives, christians, etc) who support president bush are going to feel when they find out that we’ve spent $300 billion dollars and lost 1,700 american lives to provide iraq with an islamic theocracy?
