random thoughts:

1-nothing says ‘urban yuppie’ like sweeping snow off of one’s skylights.

2-is anyone else disturbed by the line ‘thank god it’s them instead of you’ in ‘do they know it’s christmas?’?

3-also, i like ‘do they know it’s christmas’, but the ‘won’t be snow in africa’ and ‘no rain or rivers flow’ lines seem like kind of broad generalizations for an entire continent. sorry, i’m nit picking.
it’s a great song.

4-i was never a huge fan of reggae, but i do admit to really loving the rock-steady and ska that came before reggae. trojan have some great compilations. i’m listening to one right now.

5-‘family guy’ is arguably the best thing that’s ever been on tv. ok, 2nd best. nothing will ever replace the simpsons as the best thing that’s ever been on tv. but family guy is phenomenal and it makes the world a better place.

6-my apartment is in ‘the truman show’. i look up through the skylights and i see blue sky and sunlight.
i look out of some other skylights and i see dark clouds. i look out through the windows and i see snow falling. how?

7-why did the air marshall’s shoot that poor man in miami? that’s depressing and awful.

8-why is the president of iran(ahmadinejad) such a lunatic?

9-sledding in central park is one of the best things about nyc.

10-do you think that the laws will ever be changed to allow for an animated/illustrated elected official? i mean, we’ve had actors and wrestlers as governors, pop musicians as congressmen, so why not cartoon characters as elected officials? i would vote
for stewie.

some random thoughts:

1-the show ‘single in the hamptons’ or whatever it’s called makes me want to renounce sex forever.

2-it’s odd that the right wing harps on about the ‘liberal media’ when almost every major media outlet is conservative and right wing.

3-a story: someone (probably karl rove) leaks the name of a cia operative to the press. this is treason, and punishable with severe measures.
so john ashcroft is compelled to investigate.
but who was ashcrofts chief adviser in his campaign? well, karl rove, of course.
so the investigation stalls.
ugh.

4-kid koala was great tonight. very entertaining!

5-why can’t they invent genuinely great vegan cheese?
