hi.
a cold and cloudy day in nyc. well, at least i assume it’s cold. i haven’t actually gone outside yet today. i’m busy trying to learn how to use pro-tools (a computer based music program).
it’s a bit daunting, but seemingly not as difficult as i’d anticipated. it’s odd doing everything on the computer now. i used to have a big mixing desk and all of these outboard effects, and now everything is residing in my cute little g-4. how odd. but nice.
in the future won’t it be nice when people make entire records on their laptops and then make them available for download just a few seconds after they’ve been completed?
i have to ask, has everyone (or anyone) seen the movie ‘human traffic’?
i’ve seen it twice now and i love it. anyone who’s ever gone out to a rave/disco/party/club/etc with friends (especially in the uk) will understand the movie perfectly. you might loathe this movie, but i love it. it’s very sweet.
ok, back to pro-tools.
