at some point i’m going to write something about the reviews that ’18’ has received.
at some point.
when the dust has settled.
one thing i can say is that in all my years of reading the music press i’ve never seen an album receive such a wide range of reviews.
normally an album receives fairly consistent reviews. but ’18’ has received reviews that are:
glowing
terrible
wonderful
disparaging
celebratory
etc.
but like i said, i’ll write about it later. when all of the reviews are in.
you know my opinion. i love ’18’. i, personally, find it to be a complicated and emotional body of work.
but, obviously, i’m biased.
