after speaking to a serviceman who had just returned from iraq i feel the need to make the following point…
when i criticize president bush and his administration and when i draw attention to the lies that they told to justify the war in iraq i am in no way criticizing the men and women in the armed services who are serving in iraq.
on a very personal level the men and women serving in iraq have my compassion and support, and i have no criticism for/of them. they have been sent to do the bidding of a president who lied to the american people and who lied to congress, and it’s for this president and his administration that i have anger and criticism, but not for the men and women in the armed services who have been sent to iraq.
and it’s my most sincere wish that the men and women from all nations who’ve been sent to iraq will be able to return home to their loved ones as soon as possible.
