well, the first full day of the obama presidency. i really like this picture of obama arriving at work:

the sun’s shining through the windows. the walls are freshly painted. and the nations first african-american president is arriving for his first full day of work.
i know, i’m stating the obvious. but is there anything wrong with stating the obvious when doing so reminds me/us of something really good? kind of like saying, ‘boy, those pancakes were good’ after eating good pancakes. i mean, everyone within earshot has just eaten the same pancakes. everyone knows that they just ate good pancakes. but saying ‘those pancakes were good’ just kind of reminds everyone that they’ve experienced something nice.
so when i write, ‘and the nations first african-american president is arriving for his first full day of work’ i might be stating the obvious, but solely in the interest of basking in the glow of such a fantastic fact. ok, i’ll keep it brief and leave you with this last photo:
