Journal / no politics here! just music & randomness

if i mention that i’m not going to write about politics today does that still somehow make this a political blog?
kind of like an alcoholic holding tequila in his mouth but not actually swallowing it?
i went to see the new woody allen movie tonight, ‘scoop’.
it’s cute. it’s basically a scarlett and woody buddy movie.
my theory is that they had fun making ‘match point’ and just wanted to hang out some more so they made ‘scoop’.
as i said, it’s a cute movie. not one of his best, but far from one of his worst.
and the rapport that he and scarlett have is very endearing, it’s clear that they really like each other and just want to hang out and tell jokes.
am i dull when i’m not writing about politics?
oh, here’s a random tangent:
i was recently given a copy of aesop’s fables, as re-published by the ny public library, i believe.
and it’s great.
the medici aesop, i think it’s called.
the wisdom in aesops fables is actually quite remarkable. really. go look at some of aesop’s fables and you’ll see what i mean.
they’re not dark like grimm’s fairy tales(which i love).
and they’re not friendly like hans christian andersen’s tales(which are nice).
but they’re remarkably wise and relevant.
ok, time to watch the daily show and then go to sleep.
one last thing: i don’t know if i’ve mentioned this, but in the autumn(late october?)we’re going to be releasing a ‘moby’s greatest hits’ cd.
at present it looks as if it’s going to be called ‘go. the very best of moby’.
i’m still not 100% sure which songs are going to be on the cd, but i’ll decide soon(being the decider. wait, are you sure that gw bush didn’t mean to say that he’s the deicider? oops, politics).
they’ll be lots of bonus stuff available with the greatest hits/best of, if you want it.
not sure what, but fun things, hopefully.
