did you see the news today where it was reported that president bush is still insisting that there was a relationship between iraq and al qaeda?
and yesterday the bi-partisan 9-11 commission said, no, there was no link between iraq and al qaeda.
do you remember when the war with iraq first started and the iraqi minister of information kept making the most blatant lies about the progress of the invasion?
i.e-‘there are no american troops outside of bagdad’, when we had just seen footage of american troops outside of bagdad.
gw bush is like our own version of the iraqi minister of information, so addicted to lying and so used to being able to lie with impunity that he just can’t stop.
i mean bush has lied pretty consistently since being elected(remember his proclamation that he didn’t know ken lay(ceo of enron)even though he had been flown around on the enron jet hundreds of times and enron had been bush’s biggest campaign contributor and he and ken lay had been on vacations together?), but this lie is the biggest, weirdest lie of bush’s presidency, cos it’s a lie that contradicts a well publicized government report that was issued yesterday.
i wonder if when bush is really going to lose his shit and start showing up to press conferences in a bathrobe, muttering about how the house-plants in the white house are democratic spies.

ok, good morning.
the world seems to be in the grip of a new spate of terrorist attacks.
which just leads me to wonder, ‘what do the terrorists hope to accomplish?’ a few years ago it seemed as if the terrorists had an agenda. now they just seem sadistic.
the u.s puts forth a fairly serious proposal for peace between israel and palestine, and the palestinians respond with terrorist attacks?
what’s the point?
is it that the people who lead the terrorist organizations are afraid of losing their raison d’etre? are they afraid of going out of business if there’s actually a viable peace plan? peace would seem to be the last thing that the terrorists (and the people who support them) actually want.
a terrorist attack in saudi arabia after the u.s military has agreed to remove its presence from saudi arabia (which was supposedly the main thing that al qaeda wanted)?
5 years ago the terrorist seemed like they were 95% sadistic and 5% driven by some sort of ideology. now they just seem like sadists.
in other news it’s sunny and beautiful in new york this morning. i’m going to go and ride my bike and then have some granola and soy yogurt with berries at teany.
see, the terrorists haven’t taken away my right to be a pathetic hippie.

boy, the news was pretty cheerful today…
north korea could conceivably hit the united states with a nuclear weapon.
washington being surrounded by anti-aircraft missiles.
huge rift in nato.
u.s pushing for war in iraq.
global economy moving towards recession.
and sea-lions being used to guard navy ships…
what?
apparently sea-lions have even been trained to handcuff people who are diving without authorization.
it’s almost like the writers from the simpsons are behind this, somehow.
‘and here’s corky the sea-lion, just watch as he handcuffs the terrorist! whoa, corky, don’t forget to read him his miranda rights!’
do you ever wish that the next 3 months would just happen already?
all of this tension, i kind of just want to get a really good book that would take me 3 months to read, get a 3 months supply of oxycotin, and come back when it’s all over.
i wonder if they’ll start using animals in other dangerous jobs?
giraffe’s as house painters?
monkeys as referees?
dachsunds as helicopter pilots?
ok, have a nice day.
