well this is exciting.
it is january(as i’m sure most of you know by now).
and it is very cold outside.
but my apartment is being kind of inundated with toxic fumes (downstairs neighbor has done something involving very stinky toxic stuff and has then gone on vacation and sealed his apartment…so the fumes are coming after me instead) and in order to avoid permanent or temporary corporeal or neural damage i have to sleep with my windows wide open.
luckily i have a lot of blankets.
last night i went to a hotel in the neighborhood to avoid the fumes, but as i’m dim and parochial i’ve decided to stay home tonight and brave thefumes and the cold.
the cold ameliorates the effects of the fumes, but in the process it makes my apartment, well, cold.
speaking of which, it’s cold here. in my apartment. and outside of my apartment, too, itbeing january in manhattan.
and being all eco-concious and p.c i’ve turned my thermostat down so as to not wastefully send heat out through my open windows.
so i’m keeping my apartment at a nice and toasty 50 – 55 degrees (fahrenheit, mind you. 55 degrees centigrade would be too toasty.).
the rockstar life is a never-ending cavalcade of comfort and glamour.
maybe i should put a dumpster on my roof in case i need a place to camp out for a few days.
ugh. it’s cold and this sucks. i want my normal healthy apartment air back again, thank you very much.
