i’ll never understand why people who seem to loathe me bother to take the time to read my updates/journals, and then take the time to respond to them.
as i’ve said in the past, if i really loathed someone and what they stood for i would kind of do my best to avoid them.
one of my favorite regular moby-loathers is robbie rabbit.
just to make things clear, robbie,
a-i’m not an atheist(maybe you’ve seen the cross tattoed on the back of my neck?).
b-i don’t actually live in soho(no one does anymore, except for rupert murdoch, the man behind fox news…).
c-neither i, nor any democrats i know, support man-boy love(that does seem to be more or a republican/mark foley thing, actually).
i’m all in favor of a good debate, but it’s hard to take comments like:
‘you are an atheist who supports man-boy love’, or ‘the democrats will raise are(sic) taxes and turn the middle east into a mess’
very seriously.
the current crop of democrats are, for the most part, very centrist and moderate.
look at jim webb(newly elected senator from virginia). former secretary of the navy, decorated vietnam war vet, his son is currently serving in iraq, and he’s a democrat.
neither gw bush or dick cheney have ever served in active combat duty, but yet they cavalierly send u.s troops off to die in a war that was begun on false pretenses and has
been waged with egregious ineptitude, hubris, and corruption.
for example: halliburton employees in iraq stay in beautiful hotels(in kuwait, actually)while u.s troops live in halliburton supplied hovels without clean drinking water.
halliburton employees drive around iraq in fully armored humvees, while u.s troops have to scavenge armor from DUMPS to retro-fit their halliburton provided vehicles.
even the new(or soon to be new) secretary of defense said today that the war in iraq is a disaster and that we’re losing.
i just wish that the republicans would get their own house in order instead of making absurd and salacious accusations about democrats.
i also remember a few months ago reading something from robbie rabbit about how the republicans were going to triumph in the mid-term elections.
not to be petty, but the republicans didn’t triumph, they were defeated EVERYWHERE. in the house, in the senate, in local legislatures, and in state-houses.
maybe you and your fellow republicans should ask yourselves ‘why did we lose so badly?’ instead of just making ludicrous criticisms of the democrats.
in the meantime, robbie and fellow right-wingers, thanks for visiting. deep down i know that you love me and that you want to move to nyc and practice atheistic man-boy love in a liberal limousine outside of rupert murdoch’s soho apartment. for right-wingers visiting moby.com or my myspace page is really just the first step towards moving to nyc, wearing tight little leather shorts, and doing meth in the bathroom at cro-bar.
