i just got back from the new ‘hannibal’ movie…and, no offense, it was o.k, but not nearly as special as the first one. the ending scene with ray liotta is bound to get people talking, though. i’ll keep my opinions on the ending to myself, but the books ending was much sweeter and more enjoyable than the ending in the movie.

i did see muhammad ali on the way to the mens room in a crowded movie theater, right?
a friend of mine once saw muhammad ali standing on a cliff in hawaii watching the sun rise. that must’ve been pretty remarkable, going for an early morning jog and finding yourself standing a few feet from one of the most amazing men of the 20th century.

and i have to say, again, that ray liotta’s acting in the end of ‘hannibal’ is pretty priceless. if you’re at all squeamish, don’t go. but if you have a deep and profound appreciation for really black humour, you’ll love the dinner scene at the end, especially the dishrag. i’m certainly not endorsing the movie (it wasn’t that good, as i said earlier).

ok, 6.45a.m, update-break time over for the morning, and it’s time to get back to work.
