my sincere apologies for ‘moby.com’ being shut down for (as i write this) an extended period. if you’re reading this update then i can only assume that moby.com is up and running. if i’m allowed to, i’ll let you know why moby.com got shut down.
my grammar sucks, by the way.
let me ask and i’ll find out if i can tell you why moby.com has been blank.
it’s actually kind of funny.
well, to me at least.
not that it was shut down. but why it was shut down.

should moby.com be fancier?
i’ve been looking at some other bands sites, and they all look so slick and professional, unlike my little slice of folk art here.
i do stand by my belief that a web-site should be more about community and information and content, but i have to say that i felt a little bit depressed and inadequate looking at some of these other web-sites with all of their crazy graphics, etc.
don’t get me wrong, i love the aesthetic simplicity of moby.com.
in fact, maybe the answer is to make it even more aesthetically simple.
or maybe i should have big, crazy pictures and graphics and all sorts of colours. that could be nice. but perhaps that would be forced.
one of the reasons that this is such a simple site is because i’m such a simple ton.
simpleton. i guess i’m the interweb equivalent of the village idiot from monty python. wasn’t there a monty python skit wherein there was a village idiot bank? where the village idiots brought in money and were given dirt and sticks?
well, at some point i might try to make moby.com a little bit less aesthetically simple.
i mean i do have cable tv now. maybe it’s time for me to wake up and smell the millenium. yup, i’m gonna learn how to snowboard and drink youth-oriented beverages. just like abe simpson. except didn’t the youth-oriented beverages burn his tongue?
i’m just rambling now. ramble ramble ramble.

p.s-any misgivings or feelings of inadequacy that i might have about the aesthetic shortcomings of moby.com are in no way indicative of misgivings that i might have about the people who run moby.com. the people who run moby.com are great. and the aesthetic simplicity of the site is really the product of my own simple minded ness.

this might not seem like a big deal to you, but after months of negotiating i’ve been able to buy ‘moby.com’.
so now if you type ‘moby.com’ into your webbrowser it will take you to this site.
call me petty, but this makes me happy.
