anyway, it was a lovely rave anthem.

i remember being stunned when there were 5,000 members.
so, speaking of moby.com, here’s an udpate on some, (oops, ‘update’, not ‘udpate’) of the things that are going on here:
1-archiving will start soon and will make the boards faster. hopefully.
2-the video contest winners will be announced at some point in the near future. the response to the contest was a lot bigger than we had anticipated, thus the delay in announcing a winner. we want to respect everyone’s entry, and that takes time.
3-the ‘moby.com e-mtv awards tour’. this is being planned, although, and i hate to say this, it looks as if it won’t happen this year in the united states… (i’m raising my hands in front of my face to protect myself from the garbage being hurled at me…). v2, my american label, didn’t seem all that keen on organizing a north-american award tour because the award was for mtv-europe (even though a lot of the votes came from north america…sorry.). but the european (and antipodean, hopefully) award tour will happen sometime fairly soon. and what i will probably do for north america is bring the award with me on my next north american tour so that people can take pictures with the award.
and that’s it. now i have to go and wait for this impending snow and ice storm that’s supposed to incapacitate new york city.
someone forget to pay the weatherman his protection money, that’s what i’m thinking.
although when and if this insanely cold and snowy winter ends i have a feeling that new yorkers will have debauched bacchanal’s from may until next november.
and i think it’s safe to say that no one in new york is going to be moaning about the heat next summer.
