wow.
from a weather perspective i just don’t see how today could have been any better. all day it was hot and sunny and now we’re in the midst of a ferocious thunderstorm. i’ve said it before, but the sound of rain
on my skylights is one of the nicest things in the world.
although during storms like this i’m envious of new yorkers who live really high up and have great views and can watch the skyscrapers being whacked by lightning. i have had the pleasure on a few occasions of seeing the empire state building and the world trade center being hit by lightning. it’s a very impressive sight to behold. or besee.
and don’t worry, as far as i know the aforementioned skyscrapers aren’t damaged by lightning strikes. i would imagine that anyone smart enough to know how to design and build a skyscraper would also be able to anticipate the fact that the skyscraper is going to get hit by lightning.
uh, oh, i’ve got a little leak that i need to put a bucket under. (and that’s not a euphemism for having to pee, i really do have a little leak in my ceiling).
bye for now,
moby
