on monday i leave for a 3 week european promo tour that is then followed by a 3 week american promo tour that is then followed by a 5 week north american concert tour that is then followed by a 6 week european tour that will then most likely be followed by tours of asia, australia, south america, more north america, more europe, etc.
on one hand i’m excited to go back out and travel and play live music again, but there’s a degree of wistfulness as well, especially as i’ll most likely be saying goodbye to home for a good part of the next year.
hopefully my friends won’t forget me.

hopefully the simple things that fill my life will still be here when(well, and if, can’t be too presumptuous)i return.
speaking of presumptuous, have we ever talked about the etymology of presumptuous?
specifically why it has nothing to do with ‘sumptuous’, as you’d think it would?
i guess that ‘presumptuous’ is based on ‘sumer’ which means ‘to know’.
