you know, i’m working on my new album and i can’t help but wonder if people will like it when it’s released. there’s this one song that i’m working on that is just kicking my ass right now (if i might be so immodest, oh, but i’m not saying it’s great, i’m just saying that i love it, so i guess i’m not being immodest, i’m just stating my opinion, so forget the ‘if i might be so immodest’ bit, ok?). it’s a sweet and gentle little disco song and it’s so lovely, if i might be so immodest. it doesn’t have a finished title right now. and i don’t know why i’m writing about it, for writing about a song is akin to explaining, um, see now i know i’m old, i’m looking for a salient analogy and nothing’s coming. fuck. don’t you just hate it when you want a perfect analogy and nothing comes to you? needless to say, i really like this little disco song. hey, that could be a good title, ‘little disco’.
