so the american military has pulled out of saudi arabia.
hmm. how about that.
now if they can resolve the situation between the israeli’s and the palestinians and establish a democratic government in iraq and etc etc, then things in the middle east will be just fine, right? well, perhaps not.
i was at the dentist yesterday, whacked out of my head on nitrous oxide and having my teeth drilled, and cnn was playing in the background.
as i’ve said before, i have nothing against television, i just never watch it.
and in my drugged up state i wasn’t really paying attention to the substance of cnn, but rather the character of it. and i kept thinking that cnn seems very suburban, like if i closed my eyes i could easily see myself in a livingroom in a suburb of virginia watching cnn while someone was outside playing croquet and drinking gin and tonics. and i kept thinking that cnn has nothing to do with news, but everything to do with anthropology and evolutionary psychology. it’s hard to explain, but it makes sense to me.
it’s interesting that nitrous oxide is legal, cos it’s a pretty serious narcotic. i can’t wait to get me back to the dentist to get some more o’ that good old no2.
and then eat more ethiopian food. i’ve been going hog-wild with the ethiopian food as of late. it’s just so tasty, with the spongey bread and the spicy lentils and whatnot. perhaps i need to cut back on the nitrous and the ethiopian food.
