and there we go…

as a gesture of appreciation i will personally go to every single members house and clean their bathroom and give them a foot massage (with pumice for the rough bits).
did anyone see the lesbian kiss on the simpsons the other night?
when bryn-mawr kissed smith as lisa was hallucinating about the 7 sisters?
as the 7 sisters (7 new england women’s colleges…or wymmyn…spelling choice is up to you) tried to woo lisa the bryn-mawr (is that how you spell it?)
woman says ‘come to bryn-mawr, lisa, and we’ll experiment’ and then leans over and kisses the woman from smith. or mt. holyoke. or was the mt. holyoke woman the drunk who said ‘hey lisa, come to mt. holyoke and we’ll party!’?
in any case there was a nice lesbian kiss on the simpsons at 8:15 p.m on a sunday night with millions of people watching.

i love the simpsons. they represent all that is good about america.
i’m serious.
it’s ironic that rupert murdoch has brought the world the simpsons and has also brought the world so much reactionary right-wing media as well.
and in 25 years when people look back at reactionary right-wing media as an abberation from these weird and troubled times (i’m guessing that rush limbaugh and pat robertson and etc will be judged by history the way that joseph mccarthy is judged now) the simpsons will occupy a canonical spot in the history of western culture.
that’s my hope, at least.
