i went see fannypack tonight, at the knitting factory.
and they were terrific, as was to be expected. but one of my favorite moments of the night was the changeover between bands…
normally a changeover involves switching drum sets and amplifiers and etc.
this changeover consisted of taking one i-book and putting it on top of another i-book. it was possibly the highlight of my night, watching a laptop changeover.
lift. slide. place.
and the changeover was complete.
fannypack were great (especially when jezebel gave a beer to her high school teacher in the audience and thanked him for not failing her…), but watching the laptop changeover was portentous.
