Journal / Kick In The Teeth

oh this is just a kick in the teeth…
i bought a new digital camera. and i took some pictures. and i put them on my computer. and everything was going swimmingly. and i sent a few pictures to moby.com. and now my digital camera won’t talk to my computer.
so i have all of these interesting photos that i want to post but i cannot.
and we’re driving to new mexico.
and it was 110 degrees in phoenix today. and that is hot. and if you start every sentence with ‘and’ you start to feel like a 3 year old telling a breathless story. ‘and then billy went on the swings and then we had sandwiches and then this bird pooped on billies head and then we watched powerpuff girls and then i threw up on billy and then…’

and speaking of a kick in the teeth…george bush believes that cutting down trees will prevent forest fires? well, yes, that’s true, george. and getting rid of dogs will keep our sidewalks free of dogpoop. and eliminating sex will end unwanted pregnancies. and getting rid of electricity will end the risk of people getting shocks from bad wiring. and getting rid of antibiotics will end the risk of people taking too much tetracycline. and getting rid of feet will end the risk of people getting blisters. and so on.
our president…oh boy. the problem with having a bunch of special interest groups buying you the presidency is that at some point it becomes pay-back time. i know that i get criticized for saying bad things about our president, but think about it carefully and you’ll see that he’s doing a disastrous job. the economy is falling apart. our country is either laughed at or scorned overseas. and when he’s not on vacation he spends his time subsidizing coal-producers, the petroleum industry, and clear-cut timber companies.
so before you get angry with me for criticizing the bush administration, just take a second to actually look at what he’s done and what he’s tried to do since he was installed in office. his record in office speaks for itself. all he’s done is offend our allies and cater to the lobbyists who represent the prurient industries who bought him the presidency.
