feeling kind of foggy, so forgive me if i’m a bit incoherent.
but i was just reading about this small unfolding scandal regarding president bush’s meeting with the president of gabon.
the details of the scandal are not very interesting, but what makes the scandal fun to read about is that the president of gabon’s name is ‘president bongo’.
so you get great quotes from the ny times, like:
“the white house had no comment friday on whether it would release documents to the house democrats, who also requested material from the state department about president bongo’s meeting.”
i just love serious news about president bongo. i mean, seriously, isn’t that the best name for a head of state?
i know nothing of president bongo, but i selfishly hope that he’s in power for a long time. or, if not in power at least in the news so that we can read about the further adventures of president bongo.
