just to let you know, when i observe a trend and write an update about it i’m not editorializing or passing judgement, i’m just observing.
so if i write that a lot of my female friends who are in their 30’s are dating younger men, i’m merely passing on an observation that i’ve made. and you can’t really ‘disagree’ with me on the fact that most of my female friends in their 30’s are dating younger men.
it’s a fact. most of my female friends in their 30’s are, for better or worse, dating younger men.and if a lot of my friends are dating younger men, for example, i’m curious to know why. my comments are purely in the realm of observation and analysis.
if i were to say ‘its good that my friends are dating younger men’ then you could say that you disagree with me. but if i say ‘my friends are dating younger men’ it’s kind of hard to disagree with me.
cos it’s not my opinion, it’s empiricism.
you can certainly disagree with my opinions on why this might be the case. i never think that i’m right, i’m just trying to figure things out. lots of things. not just why my female friends are dating younger men.
