just finished the vatican commandos/everybody’s scene show at mercury lounge.
it was so much fun, and all the bands (including us, i think) were really, really good. thanks to chris for organizing the show, the other bands for playing so well, and the other members of vatican commandos (which is apparently ‘vacation condos’ on ticketmaster…) for being great. a really great night.
it also struck me how prescient some of the vatican commando’s (vacation condo’s) songs were. in 1982 we wrote songs about the rise of the republican right, right wing intolerance, donut stores, and using wonderbread as a black-painted building material.
i hope we get to play more shows, as this was really fun. we did some recordings, maybe we’ll put them up somewhere.
thanks,
moby
